1. Introduction
The UK Fire Services Search and Rescue Teams (UKFSSART) is a vital public service. It is part of the fabric of all our communities. The service it provides is essential in preventing fires starting in the first place and in responding quickly and effectively to those incidents with which it has to deal, it is now developing a wider role.
